The Portage Even Start Family Literacy Program is is beginning it's 8th year of programming in the Portage Community School District and Head Start Service Area.  We are located in the Clough Building, 904 DeWitt Street in Portage, WI.  The program is FREE and the only requirements for a family to enroll in the program are....

One Adult in the family has an Education need or goal.

  • Obtaining a high school diploma - GED or HSED.

    •  
  • English as a Second Language or ESL Training (new in 2002-2003)

    •  
  • Learn Basic Computer and/or Typing skills

    •  
  • Develop Job Search Skills - writing resumes, cover letters, etc....
There is at least one child in the family age 0-7.

Tuesdays 9:30am - 2:30 pm
(Lunch included)
Wednesdays noon - 3:00 pm
Thursday noon - 3:00 pm
