The
New Portage Guide Birth to Six aligns with the Head Start
Outcomes Framework and the OSEP Early Childhood Outcomes.
The NPG also aligns with state early learning standards. If
you are interested in an alignment with your state standards,
contact the project trainers and we will work with you to
develop the alignment. You will notice that these alignments
are done by domain and strands rather that at the individual
skill level. In some of the alignments particularly related
to the OSEP Early Childhood Outcomes, you will notice that
not all strands are included. These strands are considered
foundational and cross the 3 child outcomes. This approach
is consistent with all the alignments developed by the ECO
Center for OSEP Early Childhood Outcomes.
